This is the place for that too!This vital leadership position will manage a team of analysts and advisors serving as a center of excellence for advanced analytic methods within Enterprise Operations Analytics. The analytic insights generated by this team will aid Evernorth Operations in efficiently using resources, predicting future operational events, and tailoring operational processes to patient needs. The EOA (Enterprise Operations Analytics) organization supports the data and analytical needs of PBMS Operations. As a center of excellence for best practices in Data Platforms, Web Platforms, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence, the team brings together data from contact centers, print and digital communications, eligibility, client benefit setup, coverage review and beyond in novel ways to provide actionable insights to business partners from front-line Prior Authorization Representatives and Patient Care Advocates to Senior Leadership across Evernorth, Express Scripts, and Cigna. By turning data into information, and information into insight, we passionately strive to make the operational services provided by these Cigna companies to patients, clients, and prescribers the safest, most efficient, most convenient, and most trusted in the world.The individual holding this position will be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with our Customer Service, Client Service, Provider Service, and Workforce Planning organizations, while productively collaborating with partners in Technology, Finance, Strategy, Operational Readiness, and Solutions Delivery. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day oversights of advanced analytics personnel, development of their hard and soft skills, as well as actively looking for opportunities to improve the analytic insights the team regularly provides and target new ones to best serve the needs of the team's internal business partners.This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.RESPONSIBILITIESConsultatively partner with internal customers within Operations to identify and organize advanced analytic engagements

Develop team members through growth of both "hard" skills (data extraction, analysis, and optimization) and "soft" skills (effective communication, presentation, and collaboration)

Support team in building, deploying, and tuning analytic algorithms

Guide design/implementation of systems to automate delivery of advanced analytic insights

Help team members to exercise judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques

Strategically assemble a team project portfolio that aligns with higher-level organizational strategies and maximizes business value

Flexibly support ad hoc reporting/analytics needs when called upon

Actively collaborate with other leaders within the organization, providing relevant insight and influencing organizational decisions/direction

Continually monitor the analytic tools, methods, and overall tech stack used by the team and critically assess relative to an ever-evolving set of alternatives

Present project status updates and reviews at various levels up to and including senior leadership

QUALIFICATIONS5+ years' of direct and relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree in related field highly desired

Proven track-record of analytical/technical skill development

Ability to combine creativity with analytical, technical, and business acumen to problem solve

Experience with programming in Python required

Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) required

Understanding and experience with Natural Language Processing concepts including sentiment analysis, lexicon design, text summarization, aspect mining, topic modeling preferred

Understanding and experience with leading supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods such as Multiple Regression, Logistic preferred

Experience with Jupyter (or equivalent) strongly preferred

Experience with Git (or equivalent) strongly preferred

Self-Motivated with proven ability to collaborate with others, establish working relationships, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders

Successful history of mentorship in managerial or non-managerial roles

Able to turn high-level ideas into concrete action plans

Able to prioritize across a wide array or projects and effectively communicate prioritization decisions to relevant stakeholders

Able to effectively manage to agreed-upon deliverable dates

Comfortable working in environments with varying levels of ambiguity, complexity, uncertainty, and change

Polished written and verbal communication skills in presenting team work and advanced analytic concepts a definite plus

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $126,400 - $210,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.Helping our customers achieve healthier, more secure lives is at the heart of what we do.
