Description of WorkThe office of Military and Veteran and Success Center (MVSC) is seeking a creative and student-centered professional for the position of Specialist Military and Veterans Affairs Benefits and Program Coordinator. The Specialist will be primarily responsible for certifying VA benefits, theMVSCpoint of contact for Tuition Waiver and Tuition Remission benefits, and State of Nebraska Education Programs, as well as educating individuals on other benefits as necessary. This position liaises with the VA Education Liaison and the State Compliance Officer in updating academic programs for VA andDODapproval. This position prepares all files for annual compliance survey and makes policy and process recommendations based on feedback. Knowledge of state and federal veterans benefits and tuition assistance as well as university operations is preferred as well as VA certification training.Pre-Placement Driving Record Review Required NoPhysical Required NoCommercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
