Sr. Financial Analyst

Description This long-term contract / temporary position with one of our clients in the Agriculture industry is an exciting Senior Financial Analyst opportunity. Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. If you can be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting, you might be a good fit for this role. In this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role, you will perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.What you get to do every single dayTeam closely with Functional leads by executing management reporting, advising in accounting and compliance, and ensuring operational initiatives are in alignment with each other

Grow business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis

Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating critical updates to senior leadership

Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting

Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

Drive improved management reporting - work with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Manage positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership Requirements - Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

A thorough understanding of office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

Track-record in process reengineering and optimization

Highly skilled with Microsoft PowerPoint

Financial Consolidation experience required

Solid understanding of Forecast Updates

Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
