Join a company that makes a difference in communities across the country while providing for yourself and your family.The Area Manager is a dynamic leadership role that is responsible for overseeing all activities of multiple branches. This is a highly collaborative role working with Regional Vice Presidents, Operations Managers/Supervisors, and other Operations personnel to ensure branches are running at their best.Essential Functions Manage and coordinate all operational activity for the branches Monitor all service levels, deliveries, pickups, installations, and projects to ensure the best efficiencies. Recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care Work directly with other departments to ensure excellent communication within the region Work with various departments to resolve customer service & delivery issues Work with Area Managers in other areas to coordinate asset transfers Analyze and report on operational activities, i.e., service levels, routing efficiency, labor & overtime,fuel, etc Work with the Regional Vice President to develop and implement standard practices, efficiencyrecommendations, etc Responsible for oversight of fleet DOT administration including, log books & record maintenance, etc.to ensure compliance is being met Responsible for the supervision of the administration of the company's safety program at thebranch(es) to ensure compliance. Work with Safety & HR departments to coordinate training, wherenecessary Responsible for employee development & conducting periodic performance reviews Create and maintain a positive, safe, and effective work environment Operate a variety of company vehicles as needed Pull trailers with company vehicles as needed Manage the budget and P&L of the branches Perform other duties as assignedQualifications Customer Service Biligual highly preferred Teamwork Time Management Organization Communications Decision Making and Problem Solving Have experience with multi-stop routing systems & dispatch procedures Computer knowledge (Navision, Microsoft Office & routing/logistics software) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of financial statements Experience managing a budget Knowledge of all company assets in inventory Knowledge of proper cleaning, repair, service, and maintenance of those assets Valid Driver LicensePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Demand Frequency Sit while driving and stand while servicing products Frequent Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls Repeat the same movements See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance Speak clearly so customers can understand Understand the speech of another person Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling Lift up to 40lbs from your waits to your shoulders Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head Crouch and squat Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally Occasional Regularly sit while answering phones or reply to emails Regularly repeat the same movements when entering data at the computer Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away Focus on one source of sound and ignore others See differences between colors, shades and brightnessEEO Statement United Site Services is an equal opportunity employer.
