The Director, Revenue Cycle Operations will partner with Executive level client counterparts to deliver huge operational results. Translate your industry expertise into strategic vision and generate client buy-in while driving your team to perform at a high level with superior outcomes. You will participate in R1 strategy development as a thought leader and content expert, while focusing on development, performance and growth of your all-star team.

Responsibilities:Partner with Executive level client counterparts to align operational objectives.

Translate your industry expertise into strategic vision and generate client buy-in.

Lead, coach and develop a team of local 2-4 direct reports.

Drive team performance to high achievement and high-quality outcomes.

Participate in Accretive strategy development as a thought leader and content expert.

Focus on development, performance and growth of direct reports.

Oversee and coordinate revenue enhancement initiatives and business operations across all aspects of the revenue cycle for client hospitals.

Own all management decision regarding daily operations within assigned hospital(s).

Work with client c-suite and CFO collaboratively to drive results.

Gain executive client buy-in for intricate projects and initiatives.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree

1+ Years of Revenue Cycle experience with at least 5 years of steadily advancing leadership roles

Strong and broad understanding of Revenue Cycle Operations within a Hospital setting and/or demonstrated, relevant domain knowledge in one or more areas

Must be in one of our key markets, willing to relocate, or open to significant travel

Tenacity /Grit – This role will require getting deep into details and personally driving results in complex and challenging environments. While this work can be tedious, it is foundational to success

Analytical Skills – Understanding of complex Excel and Access and/or simple SQL are a plus. More important is mathematical / analytical aptitude, ability to translate operational concepts into measurable results, and vice versa

Leadership Skills – Strong communications and leadership skills, while acting as a role model and coaching team members in R1’s core values

Change Management – The ability to help counterparts through difficult transitions to a new process, workflow, or situation

Interpersonal Skills – The ability to establish oneself as a peer and trusted partner for our client counterparts

Going beyond what is asked to take on new challenges and create innovative solutions is critical to successDesired Qualifications:Master’s degreePhysical Requirements:See, read, and/or operate computers, telephones, office equipment, documents, labels, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

Remain sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

Frequent interactions with associates, patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require associate to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information banding patients, etc.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items (over 5 lbs.).Working in an evolving healthcare setting, we use our shared expertise to deliver innovative solutions.
