Anti-Submarine Warfare Subject Matter Expert

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) subject matter expert (SME) with in-depth understanding of at-sea operations and tactics. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of innovative technologies and prototype projects that will expand the ASW capabilities of the Navy. What you will be doing: Work on interesting and challenging analysis, research, development, and acquisition projects such as:

ASW related Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program topics

ASW command and control technologies

Use analytical and problem-solving skills to help inform government program decisions

Support industry and/or government teams in the transition of concepts to prototypes to fleet release

Design and execute modeling and simulation (M&S) studies to develop and refine tactical guidance

Leverage previous operational experience to support government engineering teams in the development of new technologies

Apply ASW knowledge and experience to a wide variety of non-DoD projects and initiatives

Salary ranges between $120,000-$140,000, dependent on experience, qualifications and other relevant business criteria.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen, possessing an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance

Bachelor’s degree

At least 3 years of experience in ASW operations

Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:

Experience on operational ASW platform (Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft, ASW helicopter, ASW capable surface ship, or submarine)

Experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems

Interest in Project Management and Business Development

Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks.
