Including but not limited to insurance verification, patient estimation, financial counseling, and authorizations of service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Making calls to patients/responsible party to obtain any and all required information in order to verify identity and insurance coverage/benefits

Checking eligibility of patient?s insurance coverage and logging information into RIS System

Uses automated insurance verification system and/or telephone to obtain In-Network (INN) and Out of Network (OON) benefits from Insurance Company and makes sure insurance verification information is accurate

Calculate estimate allowed amount, projected insurance payment and patient responsibility

Determines and obtains authorizations/pre-certifications on all pre-scheduled procedures to secure reimbursement of the case

Communicates with physician practices in a respectful and timely manner to ensure timely submission of all inquiries and questions

Discuss financial obligations with patients and/or guarantors and secure payment (in full or through payment arrangements) in keeping with Solis/Washington Radiology policy

Handle phone calls across all functions of financial clearance

Prepares reports as needed by leadership

Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice
