Job DescriptionThe Supply Chain Management Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Vaccine Line of Business. Reporting to the Lead Process Steward, Lead Information Steward, or Functional Lead, the Process Steward's position is responsible for system sustainment activities, creation and design of standardized business processes and the creation, design and sustainment of master data management. It includes the actual business process development, documentation, associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge transfer, training and change management. Working independently, the incumbent uses SAP and PAS-X, business process knowledge, and SOPs to correctly maintain master data, business processes and collaborates with other functional areas and processes. Communicates and interacts with other Operational and Information Stewards to resolve issues regarding business processes or master data and acts as a liaison to Global Process Stewards through the community of practice forum to ensure alignment with Global Procedures and Manufacturing Division Quality Manualrequirements.Also included is the qualification, data analysis, data accuracy, and change management for Master Data, for which additions and/or modifications impact functionality and data accuracy for our company including but not limited to all objects, views, and fields within the function. Responsible for qualification and classification of data ensuring that all information is accurate and complete, performing on-going maintenance of records and communications and delivery of Merck policies. In addition, offers recommendation to enhance workflow and increase efficiency.The incumbent’s responsibilities can be global, regional or site depending on the position within the business process but encompasses all master data or business process principles.Education Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or related Technical Field, or Business.

Required Experience and Skills:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the vaccine, pharmaceutical, or chemical operations. Relevant experience also could include quality, process engineering, or similar related support role.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the use of SAP and/or PAS-X systems

Preferred Experience and Skills:

Knowledge of SAP Production Execution and Warehouse Management modules

Knowledge of weighing dispense operations utilizing “PAS-X” Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

Work experience in vaccine operations (direct or support role)

Knowledge and understanding of GMP and Understanding of GMP Change Management Principles

Work experience in authoring or executing changes involving systems or data

General understanding supply chain management business processes
