As a Cloud Services DevOps Engineer, your mission is to help our team of innovators and technologists improve the way our business units deploy infrastructure on our private and public cloud infrastructure. Your hands on knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure deployment techniques, Cloud Native Design Patterns, and CI/CD pipelines will help your team to deliver resilient and reliable services, allowing our stakeholders to deliver at scale. You will be responsible for designing and deploying best-practice architectures, new policies, and integrating emerging trends into our service offering.LocationYarmouth, Maine | Bangor, Maine | Plano, TexasTravel0-5%Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the enterprise systems architecture.
- Ensure adherence to standards and polices for platform technology components, and integration between related system, application, and infrastructure architectures
- Develop, deploy, and maintain integrated, standardized solutions and services for the company
- Create, automate, and support software builds and deployments
- Create, automate, and support infrastructure builds and deployments
- Work with teams to architect, develop, and implement innovative software solutions related to the DevOps and Agile transformation of the enterprise
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the existing CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with and provide architectural, design, and engineering direction to other teams such as Application Development, Network Engineering, Business Continuity, and Operations
- Provide appropriate technical and operational input to the sourcing and procurement of infrastructure provisioning tooling
- Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
- Typically requires 4-6+ years of experience as a software engineer, system administrator and/or DevOps Engineer.
- Clear understanding of IT Infrastructure lifecycle: Architecture, Design, Implementation, Operations, Decommissioning
- Excellent understanding of AWS and/or VMware vCenter
- Experience with automation and cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Formation.
- Familiarity with system or Software development and operational process methodologies
- Experience working across diverse technical teams
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment and proactively drive technical solutions that meet business needs and increase business productivity and/or business efficiency
- Solid skills with programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, C#, Bash
- Experience with CI/CD patterns and tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Proven ability to architect, engineer, design, deploy, and document new and existing technologies for large enterprises
- Ability to take input from multiple sources and formalize stable, cost-effective solutions
- Ability to write technical documentation
