SummaryThis National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1959000 and is part of the FL 125th FW, National Guard.ResponsibilitiesDUTIES: As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12, you will be responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all wing deployment operations and the distribution of cargo and passengers; responsible for the management of the wing's War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and Support Agreements; serve as the installation transportation authority for planning, managing, and executing the movement of personnel as well as the shipment and receipt for DoD cargo; during day to day and contingency operations; exercise direct supervision over subordinate personnel; establish, revise, or review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizational design for the staff to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements; recommend and participate in the selection of functional supervisors/employees; ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, environmental policies and directives; advise the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander on flight related issues; participate in unit assessments, inspections, installation deployment plans, deployments, disaster preparedness exercises, and Unit Control Center operations required to maintain the highest state of readiness.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsAREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. MILITARY GRADE: Officer: O3-O4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-0346-12, must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations; experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated dataprocessing to meet the logistics plan; experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions; experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices; experiencein managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.EducationIf you are using Education to qualify for this position, you must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
