Immediate opening- Experienced Paralegal - Part Time

Start-up tech company looking for a part-time paralegal with experience in commercial insurance litigation. supporting attorneys in civil litigation law firms. We are looking for someone with deep experience in commercial defense/plaintiff litigation and is interested in a long-term role with our company.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial insurance litigation experience. The selected candidate will be very technologically adept and have excellent Word, Excel, and Adobe skills. In addition, the candidate should have experience working with google drive platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, reviewing, transcribing, and proofreading sensitive data and will work closely with the company data processor and data scientist.

The selected candidate would be initially hired as an independent contractor (1099) 120 days and potential to be hired permanent after. We are looking for somebody who has at least 20 hours per week of availability (M-Th 9:30 am-2:30 pm), and the starting pay is $25 per hour. We are a growing business and are looking for an experienced paralegal who is excited to partner with us. Location is downtown Minneapolis with free parking. This is NOT a virtual position.

Must be Covid vaccinated.

Position requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of recent experience supporting attorneys in commercial litigation

Excellent writing and proofreading skills

Expert proficiency with utilizing all programs within Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Experience editing, bookmarking, and indexing PDFs

Strong knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with workers compensation/liability commercial insurance litigation
