We are an Earth and Human friendly, for profit, franchise-able cleaning and detailing company intending to become a global force of positive change.

Our mission is to thoroughly clean and sanitize vehicles and buildings of every kind using natural plant based cleaning products, HOCL (Hypochlorous Acid), and state of the art steam cleaning technology. MOST cleaning companies use chemicals which are toxic to the environment and their staff; not us! We always wear masks (when reasonable), gloves, and nurse scrub uniforms, because we're legit.

We are seeking to empower one like-minded, unique, gifted and talented, self-motivated person with a strong entreprenuerial spirit to manage a detailing rig. Since our goal is to leave vehicles and houses smelling clean and fresh; smokers and 'vapers' need not apply, sorry. We are only interested in working with someone who is available full time and interested in owning their own franchise. HOWEVER: We are also seeking individuals to be on call for part time work during especially busy times.

Within 3 years you will be eligible to own your own Detail Doctors franchise with a low down payment towards the franchise fee and 3-6 years of payments through owner financing for the rest of the reasonable fee. The price of the franchise will depend on how much revenue we are currently generating. We'll take 8.8% royalties and a 3% advertising fee. Besides that and perhaps some minor details you will keep the lions share of the profits; the sky is the limit. Our goal is for you to succeed, therefore we will help you source everything you need to run your business at the lowest possible cost as well as provide everything else you'll need for success.

We may be able to operate things as a franchise unofficially before the 3 year mark once you are proficient in every aspect of the job.

My time is limited as I am currently working on several start up companies therefore you will largely be responsible for your own success. My current passion projects are a culinary mushroom farm, food trucks and tiny houses on wheels which I'm starting The Detail Doctors Co. to help fund.

We'll provide everything you need including: a van full of detailing tools, equipment, supplies and products, marketing materials, work orders, thorough operations manuals including checklists and sales scripts, etc (copyrighted). And we will be available to help you deal with any issues that may arise with clients, though not 24/7 and not immediately when you call, but usually within 24 hours. Since I am electro-sensitive/allergic I greatly limit my time with electronics. With the Employee Handbook you will have the answers to any questions which may arise as well as know how to handle any conflicts and what to do if a tool or machine fails, etc.

Most appointments will come in through email via the company website with the clients complete information. You will receive these through your smartphones Gmail and call the client to confirm. Booking jobs is usually a 1-2 minute job and it's rare to have to field many questions, especially since my site will be very thorough and informative with lots of FAQs answered. However the longer you can spend on the phone with them to establish a relationship, the better.

The bad news is that nobody will be available to babysit you.

The good news is that you will basically be your own boss, set your own schedule and hours and basically work at your own flow. As long as you are providing the client the level of service that they expect and you are following our checklists and protocols exactly we won't have any issues. If we do, 3 strikes and you are out; this is true whether you're a part time subcontractor or have already purchased a franchise. If this business becomes too much of a headache then I will simply close it; I have plenty of irons in the fire.

My background and why it's wise to work with me:

I used to run Doctor Detail Inc. an Eco-Friendly Mobile Auto Detailing Business in the DC Metro Area which I started in '03 at 15 years old.

We were always a small outfit because I never had the intention of making loads of money by growing a huge business but rather only to fund my life, travels and education which I succeeded in doing. My heart drew me to other paths of service which led to Doctor Detail terminating in '18 and me filing personal bankruptcy last fall. I basically just stopped working in or on the business at one point when some health challenges which I've worked through, took over. I basically earned my MBA on the streets and have a lot of skills, knowledge and wisdom to impart.

We won the Angie's List Super Service Award many years, and had a strong foundation of regular customers as well as a steady stream of new ones.

At times my perfectionism got in the way but I've learned to work around that as nobody can make everybody happy all the time. I also made some structural errors like not Trademarking the name so that it could be franchiseable which is why I couldn't simply continue with the original business.

I've since learned a lot more about marketing and automation and am confident that this business will succeed if the right people are involved. I have marketing plans in place ready to announce a 'grand opening' and drum up business. Again, my goal is for you to be successful and happy with a great job until you are soon able to run your own franchise business. I'm a minimalist with small financial requirements therefore I'm okay with this business starting slowly over time. However, I see no reason why a motivated person couldn't generate $300-600 per day from the get-go.

Though we have an equipped van I would like to sell it asap and be able to use those funds more productively, especially since eventually all of the detailing rigs will be trailers and not vehicles. Therefore, it's preferable if you have your own vehicle which can haul or tow tools/equipment/supplies/etc (but no worries if not, there is a van ready to go!)

I live in Fisher, WV 2 hours west of DC therefore the initial interview will be via phone. The next step may be to detail a friends car in the area to demonstrate your skills (unless you have pics of your work to send.) Finally, we'd need to meet here for a 1-2 day training to get you fully up to speed. I go to noVA about 1-2 times per month.

Job Requirements:

You must be able and willing to make cold and warm sales calls to prospective clients as well as engage in advertising near high traffic areas. For example: Parking a van with signs offering free car sanitation will be an easy and cheap way to get the word out and is a sure way to sell many services to passers by.

Enjoying the process and art of sales is crucial for your success in this job. When you have free time available for work you must always be on the hustle for new clients by passing out flyers/brochures/cards and making calls.

You must be very skilled in cleaning and detailing with at least 5+ years experience and basically be an expert in performing the following tasks:

-Cleaning wheels, tires, door jambs, windows, leather seats, dashboards and consoles

-Using a clay bar, hand polishing and waxing

-Using a high-speed buffer, Steam cleaner, vacuum, air compressor

-Knowledge of house cleaning is preferred

-Must be very meticulous, detail oriented and always focused on going above and beyond the expectations of the client.

-Must be responsible, punctual, trustworthy and hard working.

- Must be clean, presentable and professional at all times

-Must be Physically fit, strong, flexible and able to work long hours.

-Must be Passionate about the quality of your work and customer service.

– Must be at least 18 years old and have appropriate paperwork and be eligible for employment.

- Must have a clean driving record

- Must speak English fluently. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

- Must have a strong sense of teamwork

and be capable of managing several people to fulfill large jobs.

- Must be able to work outdoors in a fast paced environment

- You will need to launder the cleaning towels/pads/etc.

- You may need a tiny bit of storage at your place for supplies though most things will fit in the van or trailer.

- You will need to make deposits of cash and checks at a bank or with one of our associates and process credit cards through your smartphone.

- Must have basic smartphone skills like managing Gmail, google contacts, google calendar, maps

- You must provide excellent customer service and communication (explaining the scope of work and pricing, selling additional services, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any questions.)

Compensation:

We will discuss and negotiate compensation during the interview. We want you to be happy with the money you are earning but also to realize the vast potential that awaits once you are operating the business as a franchise.

-Starting pay will be between $11 and $15 per hour paid weekly by check as a subcontractor. We will send you a 1099.

-We will pay less for certain tasks like laundering towels, organizing the van, travel time, street marketing etc, and pay a 2nd higher rate for actual detailing and cleaning work which is the bulk of the job.

-The first drive to the client and your drive home will not be compensated as that's a standard commute.

-You will earn a commission on products and services which you yourself sell directly to the client.

-Tips are usually quite good.
