SummaryThis position is located in the JFHQ, J2, Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas. The purpose of this position is to assist the senior Intelligence Operations Specialist to coordinate the intelligence battlefield operating system in the collection, review, and evaluation of information as well as performing liaison functions with other intelligence organizations in support and accomplishment of the intelligence and security mission.ResponsibilitiesIntelligence Operations Specialist Collect, compile, organize, review, and evaluate intelligence information and data for the unit and other requester. Responsible for development of intelligence annexes, physical security plans, and all security related areas for the Brigade and subordinate units. Provide all-source intelligence information and data at the tactical and operational levels dealing with threat capabilities (weapons systems, equipment, organization, doctrine, theory, tactics, techniques, areas of interest, and procedures), intentions, vulnerabilities, affects of terrain and weather on operations, and courses of action. Utilizing exceptional technical knowledge of intelligence doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures the incumbent provides input to training materials and may coordinate organizational training. Provide intelligence information and/or products to officials outside of the organization regarding the interpretation of IMINT (Imagery Intelligence), SIGINT (Signal Intelligence), and HUMINT (Human Intelligence) operations and assessments. Research a variety of open source media to include intelligence databases Internet general media publications etc., for relevant information. Monitor the administration of the personnel security program for the organization. Serve as the point of contact for the organization's information, physical, and automation security programs. Serve as a subject matter expert and advises in the area of intelligence oversight. Provide training for organizational personnel on Subversion and Espionage Directed against the Army (SAEDA), operational security, computer security, and handling of classified information and the organization's anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) program. Provide recommendations on the intelligence architecture (distribution and connectivity of tactical automation systems and ISR sensors) and the framework for employment and conduct of intelligence activities during full-spectrum operations. Attend required intelligence workshops and conferences for the purpose of information gathering, sharing and continued professional improvement. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience reviewing and analyzing data including technical reports, surveys, and studies.
