Student Loan repayment may be authorized.ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements a Neuropsychology Program and provides neuropsychological services for the Department of Behavioral Health and Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC).Serves as advisor and consultant to the Regional Medical Command and other staff and officials in the specialized area of clinical neuropsychology to include comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, diagnoses, and dispositions.Directly evaluates the most difficult and complex cases involving neurological/neuropsychological dysfunction as well as co-morbid psychiatric conditions.Provides neuropsychological screening and assessment (clinical interview, assessment, scoring, interpretation, report writing) with a broad range of active duty service members and eligible retirees and dependents.Disseminates clinical conclusions regarding the psychological and behavioral effects of Central Nervous System dysfunction to the other medical personnel for use in diagnosis and treatment planning.Provides clinical supervision and training to lower graded psychologists providing psychometric services and neuropsychological assessments for patients with difficult and complex problems within DDEAMC.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Basic Requirements for Clinical Psychologist (Neuropsychology) : Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: conducting neuropsychological assessments, providing neuropsychological consultation to staff, and developing a Neuropsychology Program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. This position may be scheduled to transfer to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) no later than 30 Sept 2021 in accordance with the provisions of Section 702 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, Public Law 114-328. The Act directed the DHA to take responsibility for the administration (i.e., authority, direction, and control) of military treatment facilities beginning 1 Oct 18. Employees will become DoD employees upon transfer to the DHA. Preferred candidates will have completion of advanced post-doctoral neuropsychological training as defined by a graduate from an Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN) neuropsychology training program. Preferred candidates will be American Board of Professional Psychology/American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology certified (ABPP-CN) in Clinical Neuropsychology or ABPP-CN eligible.
