SummaryThis position is for an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, Position Description Number D2325000 located in the 116th Aircraft Maintenance Group at the 116th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Robins, AFB. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Air National Guard Membership. This is an open and continuous job announcement. Recruitment will continue and applications are pulled at the request of the hiring official and in the order received.ResponsibilitiesAs an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12, you will: Analyze performance, test, inspect, troubleshoot, identify and isolate malfunctions, disassembles, modifies or repairs and reassembles test stations or ECM Pods and their associated peripherals. Analyze malfunctions using schematics, logic and wiring diagrams, programming tables, computer program flow charts, software user guides, computer program listings and factory drawings. Examine recurring malfunctions and software deficiencies to determine testing voids and initiates corrective action by submission of quality deficiency reports, software deficiency reports or proposed modifications. Devise repair procedures based on findings and recommends program changes, procedural changes, or data corrections to correct software deficiencies. Recommends revisions to intermediate maintenance directives. Connect associated testing equipment to interface the test station system to the aircraft system and or Pod to facilitate maintenance/repair of POD or line replaceable units (LRUs) from the avionics systems such as radar, fire control, instrument, flight control, inertial navigation, malfunction analysis and recording equipment systems. Determine whether failures are caused by the unit under test (UUT), the Pod, the test station, or the test program. Work with engineers and technicians in the development and/or modification of software, interfaces, extender equipment or additional items of test equipment and in validation of technical data concerning the repair, maintenance, and test of the test station and units under test. Provide hands-on training instructions to lower grade personnel concerned with repair of computer controlled automatic test equipment, manually controlled test equipment, line replaceable units and aircraft integrated systems. Ensure that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained. Remove and replace components, assemblies, subassemblies, or parts using special and common hand tools, soldering devices and special electronic instruments. General Experience: Must possess experience which demonstrates the applicants knowledge of electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integrated systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies. Thorough knowledge of principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory. Ability to interpret and trace schematics, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Specialized Experience: Candidate must have 24 months specialized experience iin utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. Experience in using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
