Minimum qualifications:10 years of experience in UX Design

4 years of experience managing or leading design teams

Experience communicating design work to cross-functional teams and working to arrive at experience plans

Preferred qualifications:Experience designing and developing mobile applications (including tablets)

Familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing across platforms and surfaces

Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale

Ability to build excellent working relationships

As a UX Design Manager, you will work closely with a variety of engineering, product management, marketing, and creative teams. You will help customers save energy, money, and the planet. The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Nest team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.Lead a team of UX managers who oversee our Home Computing Hub portfolio. Partner across many teams within Google.

Guide the team to understand and define Home Computing Hubs in the near and long-term.

Leverage foundational research, roadmap discussions, and storytelling to align stakeholders across Google to achieve this outlook.

Coordinate and mentor design, present, align stakeholders, and work with respective leads on gate reviews, leading scoping sessions, etc.
