The Optician will be responsible for helping the doctor(s) provide great patient experience.

Job Duties:

Work with patients to help them select the best eyewear

Manage inventory of frames

Work with labs to fulfill orders

Help grow the practice by giving patients and guests the best experience

Support the rest of the team in running an incredibly positive practice

Able to edge and fabricate glasses

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames for client according to written optical prescription or specification. Assist client with selecting frames. Measure customer for size of eyeglasses and coordinate frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription.

Prepare work order for optical laboratory containing instructions for grinding and mounting lenses in frames. Verify exactness of finished lens spectacles. Adjust frame and lens position to fit client. May shape or reshape frames. Inventory control – purchasing. Assist with ordering contact lenses and training patients.

On site lab includes Coburn automated system and Briot edgers. Our goal is to offer full service and convenience to our patients while offer high quality education and service.

A license is preferred but not necessary, if not licensed - optical personnel can work under the physician(s) license. We have two locations - a car is required.
