Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor

RN House Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the house pool and full time float staff
  • Serves as the Administrator-In-House after hours, on weekends and holidays
  • Assists in the provision of supplemental nursing staff to in-patient and other areas
  • Works with departments within the hospital to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement
  • Assists staff in obtaining needed supplies and equipment
  • Utilizes chain of command to address departmental or facility issues
  • Responds to emergencies on the campus. Implements emergency plans for the facility
  • Interacts with patients, families, staff and physicians to ensure prompt resolution of concerns
  • Supports hospital mission, vision and goals
  • Places personal emphasis on customer service

Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital are destination hospitals for highly specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care.The new state of the art facility is conveniently located near Medical City Dallas across Hwy. 75 and Forest Lane. Medical City Heart Hospital will have 63 private patient rooms and provide a wide array of cardiac services including complex vascular and heart surgery, advanced heart failure treatment, minimally invasive vascular surgery and other specialized heart care. The 24-bed Medical City Spine Hospital will provide comprehensive and coordinated spine care for common spine disorders and rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities including adult and pediatric scoliosis, spondylolistheses, complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options among others.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

BSN required

2 years management or supervisor experience

3-5 years of nursing experience Pediatric, ICU, ED experience

Licensure/Certification

TX RN or compact state license

BLS

ACLS can receive within 1st 6 months

PALS preferred
