Busy firm in Lehi, Utah seeking associate attorney to help in matters involving immigration law. Applicant must be bilingual English/Spanish, and work well with people. Work environment is an open environment with daily virtual and/or in person client meetings.

Typical cases handled at office include political asylum (affirmative and defensive), cancellation of removal, residency applications, citizenship applications, U visa applications, and immigration bond requests. This position will allow for development in a courtroom setting as well as interviews with USCIS. It is expected that the person working in this position would spend a large portion of time gaining courtroom experience both in person and via virtual hearings. The individual in this position would also be tasked with assisting in brief writing, evidence preparation, etc. Managing attorney can train the right applicant in all aspects for this position.

Compensation:

Salary is negotiable and can be discussed via messaging, email, or at an interview. The range greatly depends on the applicant's experience and abilities; we are not locked in to any specific number or range. A new attorney with no experience may start at around $75,000 per year, but an attorney with more experience would be compensated accordingly. We factor in current market changes and strive to place salary above that of other immigration law firms in our area for entry-level and/or experienced immigration attorneys.

Responsibilities:

Attorney will manage removal defense and USCIS cases, assign tasks to and supervise paralegals, and will attend immigration court as well as USCIS interviews. Attorney will be expected to frequently work directly with clients requesting documents and developing arguments for the cases. Some very limited travel to other cities in mountain west area of USA could become necessary.

Qualifications:

JD, admission to the bar of any state in the US, and be fully bilingual English/Spanish. Some experience in the area of immigration law would be helpful but is by no means required.

Location:

Office is located off of interstate 15 at Thanksgiving Point, commonly known as point of the mountain, near the outlets in Utah. This job is an on-site position; the person would be expected to work full time in the office.
