Hiring experienced, fast, and fun line cook (Anacortes)

Bastion Brewery is an independent and family owned restaurant and brewery, specializing in craft BBQ and American pub fare. and ramping up our BBQ We're growing quickly and looking for those who want to grow with us.

Looking for experienced line cooks who love food and take their craft seriously. Looking for part-time and full-time employees. Starting pay is $14-$16/hr+tips DOE, with increases given based on performance and tenure.

Full time position available, weekend and night availability necessary

Position: Line Cook

Status: Full-time Hours: Varies - Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, Must have weekend availability

JOB SUMMARY

The Line Cook is responsible for maintaining the smoker, cooking burgers, wings, fish, salads, and other hot foods as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. They must also perform other duties in the areas of food and work well with others. Duties also include cleaning, set-up, and break down of kitchen.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Be 18 years of age or older

Have reliable transportation to and from work

Cellphone or phone

Must have or promptly obtain a Skagit County Food Handlers Permit

Experience in kitchen preparation and line cooking

Able to communicate clearly and effectively with managers, kitchen, and front of house coworkers

Able to effectively and efficiently work in a high volume, fast paced work environment

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
