Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Network Engineers to support fast-paced cutting edge programs ensuring national security and defense. Network Engineers shall design, support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to CANS/WANS/LANs/VLANs. The Network Engineer will schedule and perform network maintenance, perform installation configuration and repairs, and support certification and accreditation activities. The Network Engineer will support all LAN- based applications, routers, firewalls, VOIP and Ethernet technology. The positions are located in and around Annapolis Junction, MD. The position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications below. NGCIMSMD CIMSThe position may be filled at either a Network Engineer Level or a Principal Network Engineer Level Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems or related discipline or four (4) years demonstrated experience installing networks using devices including routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, and VPN technologies, as well as high bandwidth data transfer. Basic Qualifications for a Network Engineer Level: - Two+ (2) years demonstrated experience administering CANS/WANS/LANS/VLANS. - Demonstrated experience with protocols and network troubleshooting. - Position requires DoD 8570 Compliance of IAT Category Level I or higher (ie. A+CE, CCNA-Security, Network+CE, SSCP, etc) -US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance Basic Qualifications for a Principal Network Engineer Level: - Five+ (5) years demonstrated experience administering CANS/WANS/LANS/VLANS. - Two+ (2) years demonstrated experience withprotocols and network troubleshooting. - Position requires DoD 8570 Compliance of IAT Category Level I or higher (ie. A+CE, CCNA-Security, Network+CE, SSCP, etc) -US Citizen with an Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance Preferred Qualifications: - Two (2) years demonstrated experience administering classified networks. - DoD 8570 Compliance of IAT Category Level 2 or higher (ie.
