The Administration Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical services to support effective and efficient laboratory operations in accordance with company procedures.
Efficiently and professionally perform general administrative functions, such as answering phone lines, attending to visitors, attending meetings, note taking, distributing messages, filing internal, customer and vendor documentation.
Answering the phone, handling inquiries, copying, and distributing information to management and staff.
Supporting human resource functions including filing, documentation gathering, and reporting.
Supporting purchasing activities including obtaining quotes, interacting with vendors and staff, tracking orders.
Supporting receiving and shipping of general supplies and technical items.
Supporting the inventory program including maintaining and updating lists of supplies and equipment.
Support equipment preventive maintenance program by scheduling service, interacting with service vendors, and providing information on schedules/status to management and staff
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, documents, proposals, and training materials.
Maintaining a level of familiarity with the types of testing and services offered in order to speak knowledgeably with customers and effectively gather appropriate information.
Assist on projects as necessary.
Associates Degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Preferred experience working in the laboratory, healthcare, or manufacturing sectors
Excellent computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
Excellent communication skills
