Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Sustainment Project Engineer to work on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) line of business. This position will be located in Grand Prairie, TX.Candidate will serve as the THAAD Interceptor Services Recertification Planning Project Lead providing oversight of all effort required to prepare to recertify interceptors. Effort also includes leading the planning and analyses of interceptor spares management, forecasting and tracking. Candidate will interface with the Advanced Concept Development (ACD) obsolescence program as lead for the post production Interceptor Services program to ensure proper planning for interceptor recertification and repair of field returned interceptors.The successful candidate will guide a multidisciplinary team. Facilitate communication of status to the customer and ensure needs are met by effective reporting status at weekly IPT meetings. Ensure that issues, action items, and customer requests regarding recertification, spares, and obsolescence are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.Coordinate efforts with multi-disciplined team in multiple sites including: Dallas, Troy, and Sunnyvale and report status to customer. Develop strategic plans to improve supportability, quality, and efficiency of operations. Provide recommendations related to process improvements of the interceptor maintenance and repair process.Ensure that issues regarding planning for recertification, spares and obsolescence are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.Work with Production Operations, Quality, Global Supply Chain and Contracts to ensure technical, cost, and schedule requirements are met or exceeded.Develop and support proposal estimates.Reports status of technical, schedule and budget performance.Travel will be required.Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.MFCE&TThe Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.Basic Qualifications:Candidate must have an Interim Secret clearance to start.Experience in systems full lifecycle management across multiple Product Support disciplines.Experience in design, implementation, and delivery of sustainment solutions.Control Account Management (CAM 101) trained and understanding of earned value management system processes and procedures.Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders with differing goals and objectives across large geographic regions.Ability to apply analytics to understand key process drivers and integrate across teams to drive implementation of solutions (including providing information that enables quick and accurate decision making for execution teams and leadership).Experience leading multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment with internal and external customers.Highly-motivated individual with operations, logistics and supply chain experience with a continuous improvement mindset.Ability to work multiple projects and issues simultaneously from inception to completion with little supervision.Ability to interface and work well with multiple functional areas (i.e. sourcing, receiving, shipping, engineering, quality, contracts, program office and external customers).Excellent organizational, research and problem solving skills.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Ability to travelDesired Skills:Project management training, experience and successful track record.Experience with IAMD products in general and sustainment of those products specifically.Experience with the THAAD missile.Experience with depot operations sustainment principles.Familiar with depot operations as related to missile systems.Missile Recertification planningSpares planning and managementObsolescence managementExperience working and knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, Statement of Work, Deliverables, etc.Proposal development experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.Earned Value Management experience.Risk identification and management experience.Ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers and customers.Strong business acumen.Experience defining strategy.Strong process discipline with focus on efficiency and optimization.Familiarity with sustainment products/tools.OASAS Tool experience.Technical degree.Military experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
