Job Description

The crew leader is responsible for supervising and assisting with the installation of landscape and hardscape projects, and lawn and landscape maintenance activities as required. They are responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to Eddington Landscaping standards for quality and efficiency.

Essential Functions

Manage assigned crew members for optimal workflow efficiency and effectiveness

Coordinate material deliveries and onsite materials storage

Manage and communicate production goals with crew members and clients

Ensure crew members obey health and safety regulations

Track and record all job expenses including materials usage, labor hours worked, and equipment usage

Always maintain a clean and safe job site

Prepare work orders, spreadsheets, and time tracking sheets

Provide job costing information such as material, labor, and equipment usage

Schedule and implement training sessions

Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Supervises and manages landscape installation, maintenance, or snow management crew(s)

Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment

Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed

Ensures that all equipment safely and maintenance procedures are followed

Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction

Supervise and assist crew members during the performance of all assigned work

Leads by example and trains crew members in a positive manner

Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day

Follows directions from management per

Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to

Communicates well with all crew members, management, and clientele

Strives to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward mobility

Monitors all tools equipment and machinery for needed maintenance

Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately

Maintain a clean and safe job site

Trains crew members the development in the best practices of installation in company standards

Uphold Eddington Landscaping uniform and grooming requirements

Crew Leader Requirements

4+ years of experience as a crew member OR 2+ year experience as a crew leader

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record for at least 3 years

Experience driving while pulling a trailer

Ability and willingness to work weekends and in all weather conditions as requested

Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, mini excavators, and skid steer machinery with various attachments

Knowledge and experience in installing and repairing a variety of hardscape products

Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment

Good time management skills

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Able to work effectively with individuals of varying skill levels and backgrounds

Punctual and dependable

This position requires physical abilities such as strength, manual dexterity, and candidates must be able to perform all required functions of this position.

Wages: $15.00-$17.00 Per Hour (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)
