MOUNTAIN BIKE GUIDE NEEDED AT LUXURY RESORT (Moab)

Sorrel River Ranch is a Four Diamond luxury guest ranch located along the scenic Colorado River surrounded by 2,000-foot high cliffs, buttes and mesas. This exclusive 240-acre riverside oasis is 17 miles from Moab, 21 miles from Arches National Park and 43 miles from Canyonlands National Park.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain an excellent standard of customer service

To teach/guide group, private lessons, and tours to guests of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Ensure the bike fleet is always well maintained and kept fully operational throughout the season

Monitor and track bike spares/supplies ensuring all are well stocked, placing any orders as and when required

Ensure that the guiding, instruction, and health and safety are delivered to the highest standard by all of the guides

Keep up to date with contemporary concepts and progressions, striving to better our teaching and riding techniques.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Instructors/guides must be physically able to safely navigate all in-bounds areas in all weather and trail conditions. You will be required to Mountain Bike and talk for extended periods of time. Lifting heavy objects (no more than 50 pounds), bending, twisting and shoveling may be required. You will be required to stand, walk, and ride safely on uneven terrain.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Thorough knowledge of Mountain Bike equipment and accessories.

Prior Mountain Bike instructing and guiding or other teaching experience preferred.

Must be proficient mountain biker maintaining 10-15 mile per hour pace averaging 5-15 miles/day, several days per week.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to work in all weather and snow conditions.

CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

We have limited rental housing available on a first come, first served basis. Starting rate of pay will be based on level of experience.
