Find your future with us.The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Environment, Health & Safety organization is seeking Mid-Level Workplace Safety and Ergonomics Engineers (Level 3) to join our EHS Engineering team in Everett, WA and Renton, WA.This is an exciting opportunity to apply the latest technologies to reduce injury hazards for our people building aircraft. As part of our team you will have a key role in integrating and applying technologies to mitigate environment, health and safety hazards in the workplace. The successful candidate will apply design tools and integrate with systems engineering and manufacturing engineering to replicate and sustain mitigations across programs and business units. This position requires working with multiple engineering disciplines to both develop and deploy solutions promoting a safe and healthy work environment for mechanics.Position Responsibilities:
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Performs analyses for safety, human systems integration, regulatory, compliance, and industrial ergonomics.
- Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes to achieve successful deployments.
- Works with vendors and internal resources to identify mitigation solutions and integrate with existing and future production systems.
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering or science related field
- Experience with Systems Engineering Principles (systems requirements, design and analysis)
- 3+ years of experience in design, systems, and/or manufacturing engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, MS Project
- Experience with workplace safety and ergonomics
- Experience decomposing MIL-STD-1472 Human Engineering requirements
- Master's degree in engineering, occupational safety or ergonomics and human factors
- Experience with Computer-aided Design and prototyping
