Our client, a leader in their industry, needs a skilled Software Engineer in Test to support their team in Smithfield.We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer in Test:
  • Provide automation solutions for large-scale projects from an end-to-end perspective
  • Help and lead digital solution automation initiatives
  • Develop and complete automated and manual test scripts
  • Perform functional, integration, and system testing
  • Recommend ways to improve test plans and test process
  • Participate in Scrum activities

Requirements of the Software Engineer in Test:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or QA roles
  • Java (Cucumber Serenity preferred)
  • Hands on experience with automated SOAP/REST API's and testing
  • Working in an Agile environment (Go-forward environment, need to work on timelines)
  • All automation needs to be in CI/CD pipeline
  • Demonstrated technical experience as an automation/software engineer
  • In-depth understanding of manual and automated testing concepts, including BDD
  • Active experience with Agile testing methodologies including ATDD and TDD
  • Validated understanding of software development process
  • Strong Object-Oriented Programming Skills
  • Extensive Experience with Java/JEE and JavaScript
  • Experience with Selenium using Java or JavaScript, and Cucumber BDD framework
