DevOps Engineer (Halo - Ion)

Your OpportunityAs a Sr DevOps Engineer (Application Support Engineer), you will be responsible for ensuring that Schwab & TD Ameritrade's in-house developed Cloud Platforms application operates efficiently and executes successfully to meet client and business needs. This role involves production support, application analysis, and development work focused on the operational characteristics of Schwab & TD Ameritrade applications. What you are good at· Provide setup, configuration, support, troubleshooting, usage guidance, and training to our clients for supported applications· Ability to handle multiple on-going assignments and be able to work independently in addition to contributing as part of a highly collaborative team· Desire to provide excellent client service through strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas, and solutions· Be able to create and articulate implementation options and tradeoff to peers, tech leads, and management· Ability to clearly document the related management and support procedures· Ability to build a CI/CD pipeline· Ability to learn and quickly ramp-up on new / emerging technologies through multiple methods, including independent research and self-study· Automating away inefficiencies and improving the overall quality and reliability of software and applicationsWhat you have· 3-5+ years of relevant backend software support experience and a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience· Unix / Linux experience· Python, Bash, or PowerShell experience· Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Salt, Puppet, etc.)· Containerization, Cloud provisioning and support experience (preferably in PCF, Google Cloud Platform and AWS) a plus· Relevant experience with Node.js server-side JavaScript is preferred· Experience with NoSQL document-based data stores like MongoDB is a plus· Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listedWhy work for us?Own Your Tomorrow embodies everything we do!
