Nutkrack is Hiring a Production Manager! (Near East Madison)

Nutkrack is seeking a Production Manager for our shop on Atwood Ave. in Madison, WI. This may sound like a simple, normal job, but it is anything but. Nutkrack is the world's best candied pecans, and our company is growing at a ridiculous clip. Our sales were up 300% last year, and we expect more of the same in 2020. We are searching for people who want more than just a normal job. Our ideal new colleague will be smart and self-driven, the type of person who finishes their assigned task early, and looks for the next thing to do without being asked. While your first priority will be helping us make and package our amazing nuts, you might find yourself doing any of the million different things it takes to run a growing small business that is about to take the world by storm! Candidates should have excellent communication skills, good basic math skills, be self-motivated and able to multi-task a wide range of duties. Candidates must also be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably and repeatedly. Applicants must be reliable. Prior food production experience is required. We will train on food safety protocols and job duties. Duties will include preparation for production, production, cleanup and moving product, quality assurance, maintaining required documentation, packaging tasks, inventory, process control, directing other staff in the kitchen and other duties as needed. Willingness to do what is needed when it's needed is an expectation. High drive, sense of urgency, and good organizational skills are necessary.

This position is 35+ hours/week. Specific days and times are somewhat negotiable based on experience and existing staff schedules. Most shifts will be M-F, but scheduling flexibility is a must as we approach our busiest season at the end of the year.
