Modern Elder Academy is the world’s first midlife wisdom school offering live retreats and robust online programs that has created nearly 1,500 alums from 28 countries since early 2018. MEA’s success has been fueled by mid-lifers seeking improved navigation skills around personal and professional transitions and a desire to adopt a “long life” learning mindset while creating authentic community connections. MEA prizes socio-economic diversity in its students (over half of those coming to workshops have been on scholarship) and its team members and leaders.
We are seeking a Social Media/Community Manager who will focus on increasing overall brand awareness through the effective use of social media and other platforms. This position will touch all aspects of our online presence, providing insights and growing our digital presence, while also providing MEA community support. We are a small, remote-based company that is currently in the process of moving its headquarters to Santa Fe. The ideal candidate is a strong self-starter, capable of taking direction and ownership of tasks and working independently to execute them. THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a social media & digital marketing and design role
Collaborative working style within a results-oriented, mission-driven organization
Creativity to craft engaging content aligned with customer trends and market changes
Personable and customer service focused, savvy to our demographic
Startup experience, comfortable with nimble and fast paced, self-directed projects
Proficient in Google Suite, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok, Hubspot, Mailchimp and project management platforms such as Monday.com.
Data focused, with the ability to problem solve and be the support person for our brand.
Great time management skills in order to meet marketing deadlines and a “roll your sleeves up” attitude
Graphic Design skills such as Photoshop and InDesign
