Staff Accountant

DescriptionAccountemps has partnered with an esteemed organization in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry to find a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team. The responsibilities of a Staff Accountant entail preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Additionally, you'll be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. A good deal of time in this position will be spent on producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. The Irving, Texas based company is offering this position on a long term temporary basis. They provide an innovative work environment where effort is rewarded.Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Deep understanding of account reconciliation

Foundational knowledge in variance analysis

Command of journal entries

Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

Comprehensive knowledge of accruals

Proven knowledge of MEDITECH

Excellent attention to detail

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

ERP system experience

Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

Self-starter and strong ethical standards
