Veterinary receptionist and Veterinary assistant/technician (Citrus Heights)

We are looking to add members to our Veterinary Reception team and Veterinary assistant/technician team. We are fast paced Veterinary Hospital providing all essential medical, surgical, and dental care. We pride ourselves on our exceptional client communications and patient care.

Veterinary Receptionist:

Requirements:

High school diploma/GED

Must be proficient in basic computer skills.

Work well in a fast paced/high pressure environment

Good phone etiquette and able to work with a multiple line phone system

Excellent communication skills are a must.

This position does require some animal handling knowledge.

Some job responsibilities include:

Checking in/welcoming clients and patients

Scheduling appointments

Taking payments

Cleaning/organizing

Answering phones

Triaging calls

1-2 years of in hospital, veterinary experience, and knowledge of Avimark software is a plus but we are willing to train the right candidate.

For Veterinary Assistant/technician:

Candidate must be comfortable working around Dogs and Cats in a clinical setting.

Assist the doctors in surgery and manage and monitor anesthesia.

Assist veterinarians and vet technicians with blood collection and lab work.

Clean, sterilize, & maintain kennels, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, & surgical equipment.

Comfort and restrain pets during examinations and care.

Administer medications to pets.

Experience with AVI Mark is a helpful advantage.
