less thanp>Sparklight, a member of the Cable One family of companies, is looking for acommitted, helpful, proactive less thanstrong>Construction Coordinator less than/strong>with a working knowledge of fiber optics and constructionless thanstrong>. less than/strong>This is a critical role as you will lead the coordination and inspection of construction projects for the fiber-optic network to connect our customers to what matters most whether thats making sure families can video chat with deployed service members, ensuring a Twitch streamer is connected late at night when the audience is online, or giving a small business owner faith that their internet connection will power their team through client pitches and product demos.less than/p>less thanp>less thanstrong>What would your day look like?less than/strong>less than/p>less thanul>less thanli>You will be inspecting Sparklight utility construction projects to ensure the project meets construction guidelines and conforms to company standards and specifications.less than/li>less thanli>Inspect all phases of construction projects, including but not limited to, trenching, pipe installation, and aerial cable installations.less than/li>less thanli>Oversee work of contractors to ensure work meets contract specifications.less than/li>less thanli>Coordinate projects with private engineers, City engineers, City maintenance personnel, utility representatives, underground and aerial contractors and other government entities.less than/li>less thanli>Maintain records of ongoing construction for as-built references, pay request approval and plan verification.less than/li>less thanli>Make field adjustments and redesign decisions to resolve problems or conflicts and authorizes change orders regarding it.less than/li>less thanli>Attend pre-construction meetings with City design engineers to review plans for utility projects.less than/li>less thanli>Proactively respond to questions, concerns and complaints regarding utility construction projects.less than/li>less thanli>Review and comment on design plans and specifications prior to bid.less than/li>less thanli>This position has the expectation and responsibility to take on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organizations Value.less than/li>less than/ul>less thanp>less thanbr>less thanstrong>What youll need:less than/strong>less than/p>less thanul>less thanli>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)less than/li>less thanli>Three to five years of HFC/cable construction experience required or six to seven years of related experience and/or training. Must have working knowledge of fiber optics.less than/li>less thanli>Proven skills in organizing and coordinating large construction projects.less than/li>less thanli>Excellent project management, time management and project budgeting skills are essential.less than/li>less thanli>Working knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and safety hazards of construction projects.less than/li>less thanli>Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural and engineering drawings.less than/li>less thanli>Valid drivers license and a good driving record.less than/li>less thanli>Completion of System Technician course preferred.less than/li>less thanli>Must successfully complete NCTI Fiber Testing and Maintenance course and Cable One Technical Training Center system technician course for position.less than/li>less thanli>Knowledge of NEC and NESC.less than/li>less thanli>Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and city laws, ordinances, codes and regulations applicable to area of assignment.less than/li>less thanli>Resilience the ability to stay cool, calm, and collected during difficult or challenging circumstances and bounce back with positivity when resolving problems related to construction projects, contractor compliance and project design.less than/li>less thanli>Excellent communication skills needed, both verbal and writt
