Groomer (Christiansted)

Groomers must have a combination of experience and knowledge to take proper care of their furry clients. Cleaning ears and nails, as well as trimming fur, ensures cleanliness and helps the groomer understand each dog and cats general state of health. Brushing, bathing and drying dogs and cats also falls under the umbrella of a groomer’s responsibilities, so having a strong knowledge of best grooming practices is critical for a proper groom. Not all dogs or cats are the same! Professional groomers must be familiar with different breeds hair cuts etc. and also know how to work with older dogs,cats and puppies and kittens. Working closely with dogs and cats you’ll be able to pick up on any potential illnesses or other health concerns and can voice them to the dog’s owner or vet on call, which makes your role incredibly valuable! Pet groomers are great with animals and people, listening to the owners' requests for how they want their pet to look, and keeping the animals calm in what can be a stressful situation. Should be able to lift up to 40lbs and stand for long periods of time when needed. Has to have transportation availability. Be punctual and a team player.
