OPTIONS Family of Services, a local non-profit organization, strives to help people with intellectual disabilities meet their wants and desires as citizens within their community. We serve 200 people from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. Daily, we improve the lives of those we serve.

We are looking for staff to work with our individuals at our transitional living program in Morro Bay. We have part time and full time positions available. Hours available are evenings and weekends. Part time hours can be flexible and work around other commitments.

Community Support Specialists will work in a multi-apartment setting with 8 individuals with disabilities. The individuals we work with need assistance in basic skills: budgeting, meal planning, grocery shopping, household cleaning, managing medications and making and attending doctor's appointments.

Education/Experience: Successful applicants must have at least a High School Diploma or GED, BS or previous experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Strong English oral and written communication skills are required.

Other Skills/Abilities: ability to successfully complete First Aid/CPR training, Pro-ACT, and Drivers Safety. Must have a valid California Drivers License with 3 years driving experience and a driving record acceptable to OPTIONS insurance company. Must also have a clean criminal record and receive clearance from DOJ and FBI.

Physical requirements: Essential functions of this position require that employees regularly sit, stand and walk. Employees may occasionally be required to lift or move up to 20 lbs.

$14.50 per hour. OPTIONS offers a full benefit package for full time employees (30+ hours per week), including medical, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation/sick leave (16 days per year), and a 401(k).
