Cabinet shop experienced finish dept. position (Berthoud)

Established local custom cabinet company looking for experienced applicant to fill finish department position.

The main responsibility of this position requires assistance in the finishing process of wood products for high end European style cabinetry. Applicants must have understanding of standard hand tools, sanding & finishing skills, be physically able to move & organize cabinet parts & miscellaneous items, read & understand shop drawings & cut lists and contribute to quality control. Experience in staining, tinting and glazing is preferred for this position but willing to train the right person that is highly motivated & excited for the opportunity to learn a true craft.

Good appearance, personal presentation and the ability to work well with others in a shop environment required.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prep & finish Euro-style cabinet components

- Have a good eye for color and matching samples

- Glaze & tint to create a consistent product

- Operate spray guns & other finish equipment

- Organize & complete processes per directives

- Assist in other areas of shop when needed

- Contribute quality control

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Familiarity with finishing tools, including abrasives, hand tools & finish application equipment.

- Read & comprehend shop drawings & cut lists

- Safe operation of pneumatic spray equipment.

- Knowledge of finishing processes including stains, glazes, sealers, topcoats & touch-up.

- Good personal appearance & professional presentation

- Personally organized, self-motivated, dependable & focused

PAY BASED ON:

- Previous finishing experience
