Front Office Assistant/Receptionist (Jonesboro)

Our small, well established law firm located in Jonesboro (about 20 miles south of Atlanta) is looking to hire a Front Office Assistant/Receptionist to start as soon as possible. This position is full-time with working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the office, multitask, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Must have superior verbal and written communication skills, be highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Internet
- Must be able to operate general office equipment
- Must be able to type 50+ WPM
- Must live within reasonably close proximity to the office
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Answer/screen phone calls, take down messages and forward emails
- Obtain information from prospective clients and input into intake database
- Greet clients/visitors as they arrive to the office
- Maintain and set-up conference room
- Confirm appointments on office calendar
- Manage, sort, and distribute incoming mail and other communications
- Run office errands (e.g., post office, bank, other places as needed)
- Summarize medical records, as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) speaking strongly preferred, but not required
- Prior legal experience preferred, but not required
- Notary Public
REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 1-year work experience in an office setting
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
HOURS
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday)
Salary commensurate with experience
