This position is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to grow their career with an industry leader in the aggregate and cement industry.Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, the Reliability and Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the reliability program for the facility as well as management of projects to improve plant performance.This is a maintenance staff position with the responsibility of improving plant equipment reliability. The position is key to achieving availability targets by analyzing equipment data and implementing measures to eliminate failures. This is accomplished though Pareto analysis, Root Cause Analysis, PMR development, and leveraging technology to monitor machine performance by collecting data needed to enable predictive condition based maintenance plans and practices.

Develop, lead, implement, and track programs/systems/processes and equipment upgrades that improve equipment reliability/OEE (e.g. preventive and predictive maintenance systems, precision maintenance techniques, detailed work plans and schedules, material recommendations, troubleshooting guides, repair plans, tracking spare parts, RCA etc.)

Continuously review and improve preventive maintenance task lists and processes based on PM performance KPIs. Track, record, monitor, review and routinely on the PM program KPIs to ensure effectiveness, proper content and frequency

Study breakdowns and failures, utilize Pareto charts to analyze downtime. Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis based on standardized trigger points, then implement corrective actions and improvement plans resulting from the RCFA’s.

Champion world class Maintenance Reliability Programs that include detailed lubrication routes, vibration analysis, oil analysis, precision alignment and balancing, etc.

Manage small to large projects as needed to meet and improve equipment safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability, performance, and maintenance costs, to achieve desired product quality and production rates.

Monitors and oversees the optimization of the spare parts inventory and equipment bills of material in the CMMS. Reviews spare parts availability and disposition. Assist in determination of min/max levels and creation of new part number requests.

Who we are looking for:Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s engineering degree (B.Sc.) from four-year College or university.

Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of reliability and maintenance experience in heavy industrial environment.

Good understanding of principles related to reliability centered maintenance (RCM)

Ability to comply with all corporate policies and the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA)

Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Ability to measure performance against company standardized KPIs and provide assessments, reports, graphs and other analysis of maintenance performance on a routine basis.

Knowledge of mechanical design, machine design and manufacturing systems – ability to understand mechanical concepts and processes easily.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blue prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, process flow, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams

Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and digital systems and concepts (motors, controls, instruments, power distribution, etc.)

Experience with precision maintenance techniques and their practical application

Experience with CMMS systems computer skills (entering work hours, work orders, parts usage, etc.)

Must be able to function as a team member and have good time management and organizational skills

Employee must be able to function in an office environment as well as the company’s industrial environment and outdoor weather conditions, including the physical demands of working in the plant (standing, walking, and sitting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching or crawling).

Industrial risks similar to those experienced by operations personnel including noise, dust, electrical and machine risks, large equipment and vehicles, and occasional work in enclosed spaces
