Provides administrative support to the Student Health Services Immunization Department within Emory Campus Life. Inputs students' immunization records into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and GRITS (Georgia Immunization Registry). Enters documents into EMR to include documentation of all students who have either been immunized or chosen to sign the waiver(s).

Monitors the entry of immunization records from students, ensuring that records meet institutional requirements as identified by state and federal entities such as the CDC, other universities and the Department of Health.

Monitors compliance via the OPUS (Online Pathway to University Students) system.

Tracks, approves, and removes holds from student accounts via OPUS.

Coordinates all immunization actions, prepares reports, and maintains immunization records' security. Assists in maintaining Emory - SHS vaccine information through periodic review of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Vaccine Information Sheets (VIS) website and notifies supervisor of additions or changes.

Handles student/parent immunization concerns, resolving and/or selecting next level of customer service chain.

Keeps staff up to date on process changes or federal/state/administrative changes.

Assists with developing policies and procedures regarding immunization requirements and provides updates for the SHS Immunization website. Develops and maintains campus partnerships.

Participates in all SHS immunization related student/parent orientation functions and onsite clinics.

Creates appointments, receives and sends faxes, scans documents, and maintains emails.

Reviews program requirements for additional vaccines.

Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under a provider’s direction.

Obtain vital signs and patient information for inclusion in the patient’s medical record.

May give injections or treatments, perform routine laboratory testing under the direction of a provider, and assist in other patient care activities such as dressing changes and leg wraps.

May assist with physical examination by preparing supplies and handing instruments/materials to the provider as directed.

Provides patients with basic instruction and information regarding examination procedures and serves as a chaperone.

May operate an X-ray, EKG, or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.

Cleans and sterilizes medical instruments.

Schedules patients for tests and completes required forms for lab work.

Maintains accurate and complete patient records/documentation.

Orders, stocks, and inventories supplies and assists in performing clerical duties.

Performs related responsibilities as required.

Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of high volume data entry, records/file management, or related office support experience. Experience using a personal computer with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
