About this Job:We are seeking outside Regional Sales and Marketing professional to join our team. The ideal candidate would be someone who would consider a career or has experience in the world of Construction Equipment Financing in Santa Ana, California. In this position, you would continue to build and strengthen standing customer relationships, independently prospect new customers, develop, and nurture relationships within the covered industries, work closely with inside staff and negotiate and close finance transactions to meet productivity and sales goals.Desired experience includes sales, exposure to heavy equipment, credit analysis, and relationship management, however all applicants will be considered.About us:We are People’s United Equipment Finance Corp, a subsidiary of M&T Bank in Buffalo, New York. We specialize in the financing of Heavy Construction, Transportation, and Waste Equipment.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Service and expand existing relationships while developing new leads through prospecting and pursuing targeted new businesses within your assigned territory. Potential clients are small to mid-market companies in the general construction, commercial infrastructure, and transportation industries. Average transactions range from $100k to $15MM.Follow up on leads, call or visit potential customers, and develop, negotiate, leverage and nurture business relationships with industry related companies including dealers and suppliers to cultivate new and continuing business prospects. Travel is required.Attend trade shows and other related events. Participate in industry organizations to continually build a professional network.The right candidate for this role will have:Sales experience financing heavy equipment.

Must have strong relationship skills and management.

Basic exposure and ability to read and understand financial statements spreads/analysis.

Desired Experience/Skills:Great communication skills – verbal & written. Speaking with decision-makers and business owners on a professional level

Degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferable

Familiarity with Uniform Commercial Code and lien perfection.

Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills which will be needed to communicate with management, vendors, and customers.
