Water Damage Lead Technician:

NM Restoration is a locally owned and family operated water and fire mitigation company. We are in need of a Water Damage Lead Technician. The successful candidate must be presentable and have a clean driving record. They must be dependable and also able to handle some after-hours calls. Flexibility is a must as this person will also help other departments when needed so any carpentry skills will be a plus.

Pay Rate: $15-$18 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform all assignments carefully, promptly, and efficiently.

Represent our company in a manner that enhances the image of NM Restoration in the eye of the consumer.

Demonstrate concern and interest in each customer and in the services provided to each customer.

Maintain a positive attitude while resolving production, mechanical, and scheduling difficulties that may be encountered.

Assist in training and development of any new technician.

Attend training sessions and classes to grow professionally and personally.

Perform all remediation projects per company process and IICRC guidelines.

Ensure that all equipment, products, supplies, and vehicles are carefully handled and maintained.

Report and equipment malfunction promptly to the Restoration Project Manager.

Report any customer problems or any damages to a customer’s property the same day it occurred. Preferably within 2 hours.

Complete all paperwork assignments accurately, neatly, timely.

Participate in the Water department on call rotation.

During extreme weather conditions worked hours will require you to work outside your normal schedule hours and job responsibilities will change.

Job Duties

Inspect properties for water damage and develop a drying plan which includes the setup of drying equipment, monitoring temperature, relative humidity and specific humidity.

Extract water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment.

Remove damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets, and drywall.

Complete all necessary paperwork and record all moisture levels and job notes utilizing proprietary Moisture Mapper software.

Collect all monies owed at time of service.

Maintain assigned vehicles by performing preventative maintenance as required.

Clean and maintain tools, equipment, meters, computer, supplies, etc.

Must possess strong readings, writing and communication skills.

Other duties will include carpet cleaning, tile cleaning, mold mitigation and fire cleanup.

Work with your Water Mitigation Supervisor / Project Manager to be his/hers eyes, ears, and back up when necessary.

Check with your supervisor at the end of shift for clear instruction on the following day’s expectations.

Judgment to make decisions outside of the direct supervision of your manager.

Project professional appearance/image.

Problem solving and decision making.

Read product labels, safety signage, work orders, etc.

Hear direction from others, including warning signals and use telephones.

Interact professionally and effectively with customers and co-workers.

Maintain valid driver’s license.

Lift and carry 50 pound items.

Enter damaged structures and potentially toxic environments.

Able to wear appropriate PPE for extended time periods.

Out of town travel required.

Occasional overnight stays required out of town. (Cost will be covered)
