Summary: Assesses business requirements, develops functional specifications, and develops data related solutions. Writes and maintains stored procedures, functions, or queries meant to assist the organization in accessing and analyzing business data. Develops standard and custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. Develops and implements ETL functions and processes for incoming and outgoing data transfer. Documents workflow, enhancements, and QA processes. The position will be part of the Database Team of the IT department.Responsibilities:- Full cycle development of database systems. Work with client to understand the business requirements, design and implement the applications, modify, and enhance existing applications, create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of the systems.
- Develop T-SQL database objects and SSIS packages to facilitate the flow of data between the systems. Create and maintain data flow diagrams and mapping documents. Modify existing solutions to support changes to business requirements. Examine data and workflows to increase optimization and improve efficiency.
- Participate in the design and develop the EDW solutions, develop the ETL process
- Upgrade/migrate the database systems to newer versions, SQL database, SSIS package, SSRS report.
- Creating indexes/store procedures/tables, database normalization, performance tuning/troubleshooting/traces, etc.
- SQL server installation and configuration, clustering
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent skills on ETL with SSIS development
- Excellent skills of T-SQL programming and understanding Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong skills of data modeling and designing databases
- Solid understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), software best practices and development methodologies.
- Strong skills of building data warehouses
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
