Job Description – External Reporting LeadLocation: College Station, TexasReports to: Chief Accounting OfficerPOSITION SUMMARYSTgenetics® is seeking an External Reporting Lead to join our corporate accounting team. This individual will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be responsible for the company's external reporting. This will include quarterly reports, annual reports, and miscellaneous filings as required under the SEC. The External Reporting Lead will also have oversight of several complex accounting areas. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will be located in Navasota, Texas.STgenetics® is the worldwide leader in Sexed Semen and Embryo production. ST through the experience of its staff specializes in helping find quality livestock, semen, and embryos for placement domestically and internationally.RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Responsible for the external reporting process - preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosures, MD&A, proxy statements and earnings releases.

Assist in the drafting of the company’s S-1.

Lead and manage the preparation and review of all SEC filings (annual report, 10K, 10Q, earnings release, 8K, S-8 and XBRL tagging).

Assist with the annual proxy preparation process and shareholders’ reports.

Coordinate, calculate and/or oversee the process of stock-based compensation, earnings per share, non-controlling interest and other equity transactions.

Oversee the preparation and review of the statement of stockholders' equity.

Participate in implementation and improvement of financial reporting systems.

Assist in the preparation of internal documents including presentations for the Audit Committee.

Perform accounting research and prepare or review accounting memos on various complex accounting transactions.

Coordinate with external parties in the filing process, including the coordination of timetables and communication with external auditors.

Maintain effective internal controls and establish processes, policies and procedures.

Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests, as assigned.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance. CPA or CA required.

8+ years’ experience (public accounting and/or external reporting at a publicly traded company is preferred).

1+ years’ management experience preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with consistent follow through on assigned tasks.

Ability to communicate complex variance and actual reporting results clearly and simply to all levels of organizational stakeholders.

Proficient in financial reporting and planning systems such as Oracle Advanced Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Financial Consolidations and Close “Hyperion”, ONESTREAM, SAP BPC “SAP Business Planning and Consolidation”, WORKIVA, KCI CONTROL, Host Analytics or similar corporate consolidations and planning systems.

Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and public company disclosure strongly preferred

Ability to efficiently handle ambiguity and change; able to act as a change agent.

Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required.
