Water Treatment Plant Operator (Fairbanks)

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks, as well as monitoring, testing, and reporting functions to insure proper operation of a class IV water treatment plant in producing, storing and distributing water that meets Federal and State standards for drinking water.

This is a shift position working evenings, nights and weekends.

Minimum qualifications:

Currently hold a Level 1 water treatment plant certification (Level 2 preferred)

High school diploma or equivalent required

Ability and willingness to attain a Level 3 or 4 per the terms of the negotiated agreement

Must be capable of lifting 50 pound sacks.

Able to work in cramped, uncomfortable spaces with low light conditions.

Exhibit physical dexterity to work in awkward positions.

Able to lift, pull or push for a significant portion of a work day.

Successfully pass pre-employment drug test and background check
