Members of our team have a direct positive impact on the lives of immigrants on a daily basis. Helping immigrants remain in the United States with their families is incredibly fulfilling. Our firm focuses mainly on asylum practice, but we also work in other areas of immigration including family petitions, DACA, TPS, cancellation of removal, etc. We are seeking someone to join our team to help us in our mission to fight to keep families together.

Attorneys with our office learn and develop skills quickly. These skills include courtroom and litigation experience, experience in interviews with USCIS officers, brief writing, affidavit development, and case management. We have a full team of paralegals and four other attorneys to help any new hire learn quickly.

MOVING EXPENSES PAID BY FIRM

Because Immigration Law is federal law, this job posting is open to any attorney with a license in any US state or territory. Our firm will contribute to reasonable expenses for an employee that chooses to relocate to Utah to take this position.

COMPENSATION

Our compensation package for attorneys is tailor made to meet the specific needs of an attorney, allows for growth within the organization, and is based on many different elements that are designed to provide comfort, motivation, and growth. Salary is one piece of our compensation package for attorneys. Salary is negotiable, based on experience.

Our compensation package continues to improve as the attorney learns and grows within the organization. After an initial 60 days the attorney is eligible to join the group health insurance plan. The firm will also pay for CLE credits needed for license renewal, license renewal fees, and malpractice insurance. After two years with the firm, the attorney will become eligible to participate in a retirement plan with contributions from the firm. The firm also pays for membership in AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association). For attorneys that have been with the organization for several years and commit to remain with the organization long-term, bonus structures and a profit-sharing plan can be made available.

In addition to these measurable parts of the compensation package, there are other non-monetary benefits to being part of our team. Flexibility is extremely important to our organization. We believe that we work to support and provide a living for our families. We do our best to be flexible to be able to attend family events, etc. We do not require that the attorney handle collections efforts for any of the cases that they work on. The firm handles all of the advertising and fills up an attorney's calendar with consultations; there is no expectation that an attorney find their own cases to bring to the firm. As the attorney learns and grows, opportunities to work in a leadership position will be made available.
