We’re treating cancer, one patient at a time.Join us and make a difference every day.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to support the Communication Skills (Comskil) Training Program. The Comskil Training Program provides experiential, small group training for clinicians at MSKCC to improve communication with their patients and families in challenging situations. The CRC will be responsible for recruitment of participants, data collection, and tracking participant progress throughout the studies. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for database maintenance, data entry, communicating progress and challenges, and working with the research study team and principal investigator (PI) to manage and analyze the study data. Lastly, the prospective applicant will assist with all regulatory requirements as per MSKCC policy and federal regulations. The candidate must have superior communication skills, both written and verbal.YOU WILL

Recruit, consent, perform screening interviews, administer assessment batteries and collect relevant data from human subjects;

Maintain study databases, codebooks, and procedures for data entry and monitoring;

Generate reports on the progress of research projects;

Conduct regular audits, and QA of the data to ensure data accuracy and integrity;

Compile and analyze data for presentations and publications and assist with statistical analysis as needed;

Ensure that patient registration, informed consent procedures, and handling of data meet all institutional and governmental requirements;

Provide regular reports to the PI regarding study progress and challenges and work with the PI to address any problems that arise;

Completes regulatory and administrative submissions at MSKCC;

Organize and participate in weekly study meetings;

Assist in the preparation of presentations and manuscripts;

Perform literature searches and other tasks as needed

YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree required or a high school diploma with 2 years of research experience

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases and SPSS helpful;

Knowledge of REDCap helpful;

Outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail;

Able to work efficiently and effectively;

Superior interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills;

Flexible and works well independently as well as in a team setting.
