Database Architect

8 to 10 years of SQL Server Database experience.SQL Server patch managementExpert level of SQL Server RDBMS installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience in large and very dynamic environments.Experience with SQL Server Cluster, Replication, Log Shipping for HA/DR.Experience with deploying SQL Server in virtualized environment. (VMWare, Hyper-V)Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with very complex database environments.Experience in SQL and/or PL/SQL or MYSQL.Experience in working SOX controlled environment, change control, and validated systems.Strong willingness to learn new technologies.Should be a team player.Microsoft Certifications.Experience/exposure in Microsoft Reporting Services Technologies.Experience with building ODS, Data warehouse, and data marts.Experience in Implementing Enterprise architecture principles for databases.Very large Database support and administration.Any retail business systems experience is nice to have.Experience in Open source, Big Data & ClusteringExperience in Cloud computing or experience with hosting databases in the Cloud, including archival of large amounts of dataWillingness to learn and Positive 'can do' attitude is a must.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.Senior Microsoft SQL Server database administrator with a minimum of 10+ years' experience as a DBA in an operational environment.Experience working in a global, leveraged outsourcing environment, supporting multiple customers within an ITIL service management framework, is highly preferred.Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and 2008 physical DBA activitiesITIL Foundation certification a plus!Experience with ETL and data warehousesStrong knowledge of relational algebra or relational calculusExpert with entity-relationship diagrams
