Our Grill Cook/Kitchen Manager is proficient with commercial kitchen operations. They are capable of executing the fulfilment of guest orders to specification and standards, preparing food products in accordance with recipes and standards. This individual will monitor product sensitivity and shelf life in adherence of standards and food safety practices. In addition, they are capable of following best practices for food safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years professional grill experience, a passion for cooking, a positive, can-do attitude and talent for teamwork. They will be someone who has an “all hands on deck” mentality who is willing to do whatever is necessary in fulfilment of the safe and clean operations of a busy kitchen.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Main grill cook; line includes 36” char broiler, 12” flat griddle & 2 fryers
  • Execution of recipes to the highest standard with reasonable accuracy and speed
  • Portion control especially when cutting meat by the ounce
  • Product sensitivity assessment and control
  • Fulfillment of guest food orders in a timely manner
  • Identify, recognize, and ensure product quality before expedition to servers
  • Weekly product ordering
  • Inventory tracking
  • Identify and address inventory and product issues
  • Assist in training new staff to proficiency in kitchen positions
  • Collaborate with management on operational, recipe, and equipment suggestions
  • Timely and sanitary set-up/ stocking and breakdown of work station(s)
  • Identify and communicate repair and maintenance needs to management
  • Read and understand schedules as published
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
