Produce Manager (Royal River Natural Foods)

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain outstanding customer service skills at all times

Perform stocking, culling and rotation procedures in accordance with established guidelines

Prepare (bag, trim, crisp, etc.) all products according to established standards and quality goals

Place all orders from local farms and large distributors

Receive produce delivery, rotate and put in appropriate storage area

Perform all cleaning functions of the case, displays, walk-in fridge and prep areas

Maintain accurate, neat records of production, shrink, sales and inventory

Grow sales through effective merchandising strategies

Train, develop and supervise produce associates to meet the department needs

Manage performance through planning, coaching and disciplinary efforts

Adhere to highest product quality standards to support our department strategy

Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization

Requirements / Qualifications:

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Retail Produce experience preferred

Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills

Ability to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions

Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment

Ability to lead and direct others

This is a year-round full time position, 40 hours/week.
