Accounting Clerk

DescriptionAccountemps is actively looking to hire an organized Accounting Clerk for a recognized company. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This is a long-term temporary employment based in the Santa Fe Springs, California area.How you will make an impact

Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources

Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

Requirements

Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

Strong familiarity with QuickBooks

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
